The energy and vibe of The Boma will captivate you before you even set foot inside. On arrival, you are ceremoniously dressed in your “chitenge”, before being welcomed by traditional dancers, having a photo opportunity, and a mini face paint. On entering The Boma – Dinner & Drum Show you are ushered into the main enclosure, where your senses will be bombarded by the tastes, sights and sounds of Africa. Once seated you are invited to take part in a hand washing ceremony and to taste the local brew, before tucking into your four-course dinner. The entertainment incorporates traditional dancers, a local folk storyteller, a fortuneteller, a hairbraider, face painters, acapella singers and souvenir sellers. The highlight of the evening’s entertainment is the energetic interactive drumming show beginning after dinner at 9pm. To end off the drumming show, you are invited to the dance floor to groove to the beat of the African drums.
Once seated, guests are invited to take part in a hand washing ceremony and to taste the local brew, before the four-course feast begins, with a shared starter platter, featuring specialities such as smoked crocodile tail.
