Bungee Jump Victoria Falls History

Bungee as we know it all started with a small group of individuals who have been throwing themselves from huge towers for centuries. With nothing more than a few vines tied to their feet. These were the people of Vanuatu in the Pacific. Bungee Jump Victoria Falls was originally set up by Kiwi expatriates. They were bungee jumping enthusiasts in early 1994 and had previous experience in Bungee jumping coming from New Zealand. Which was known as the adventure capital of the world.

Bungee Jump Victoria Falls secured the lease agreement with Emerged Railway Properties whom have the rights to the Victoria Falls Bridge. They went on to employ staff from both Zambia and Zimbabwe to benefit both countries.

Over a period of time, the knowledge of the safety procedures and the operations of bungee jumping including bungee cord building was passed on from the experienced management team to the crew through training. Many of the current crew onsite and employed by Victoria Falls Bungee learnt under these professionals.
