Built in the 1950’s Lake Kariba covers an area of over 5000 square kilometers, and is the worlds largest man made lake by volume. Home of the mythical river god, Nyami Nyami, the lake is a place of incredible beauty, abundant wildlife and with the call of the Fish Eagle in the distance, a cruise along the lake shore provides amazing viewing of the Hippo and Crocodiles wallowing in the water while the animals venture down to the lakeside to graze and drink.
